Veronica wipes the face of Jesus
Leader: We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you.
All : Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.
O Jesus! Thou didst imprint Thy Sacred Features upon Veronica's veil, stamp them also indelibly upon my heart. (Pause-reflection)
Leader: Jesus Christ Crucified.
All : Have mercy on Us.
Leader: May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, Rest in peace.
